Our First Range Drill

Click the YouTube video below to check out our first range drill. This drill focuses on a combination of skill sets such as grip, vision, throttle control, and movement. Give it a try, tag us, and let us know your thoughts.

Breakdown of the Drill:

  • Start at the 25 yard line
  • On the beep engage target 1 (T1) & target 2 (T2) in any order, with 3 rounds a piece (6 total).
  • Immediately run to the left or right vision barrier and engage the target (T1 or T2) in front of you with 6 rounds, from the outside of the vision barrier.
  • Sprint to the next vision barrier and engage the target in front of you (T1 or T2) with 6 rounds, from the outside of the vision barrier.
  • You should have 9 rounds on each target.
  • We will use hit factor to score the drill. This is an 18 round drill, at 5 points per shot, there are 90 available points. You will then divide whatever your score is by your time.
  • A zone = 5 points, C zone = 3 points, D zone = 1 point. (No major point scoring)
  • Example: 16 A's = 80 points, 2 C's = 6 points. For a total of 86 points. If ran in 15 seconds, you would divide 86 by 15 = 5.73 hit factor.
